About Ruske Performing Arts
Your child can select from a number of dance genres. Below gives a brief run down on each style. You can take the opportunity to sit exams. Our teachers work along side the student to reach their full potential, no matter if they want to be a recreational student or wishing to consider a professional pathway. JAZZ
We offer AJDA jazz. You can begin this style from the age of 5. A fun well developed style structure that has lead many students to full time training.
CONTEMPORARY
We were the first studio in NZ to offer the CSTD – Jason WInters Contemporary syllabus. This is an up-to-date syllabus which keeps in tune with current trends and great music.
DANCE PERFORMANCE GROUP
This class is designed to develop opportunities for students to perform at community events. You must be taking a Technique class to join this group. If you are interested in booking the group please contact the Director
SINGING/DRAMA
Private bookings or groups from 2 or more students singing and drama exams available also.
TLT-TURN, LEAPS,TRICKS
The class is offered to all dancers wishing to extend themselves. Every dancer needs a “trick”, multiple turns and powerful leaps.
BOYS ONLY
This is an all age open class for your boys to hang with each other and bust some moves. No exams
BALLET
We offer BBO to Advance levels and Performance Awards.
Ballet is a great technical foundation for all dance genres. We encourage that dancers take at least one class of ballet.
READY SET DANCE
A fun hour long class that builds confidence and co-ordination.
TAP
We will be offering Tap from the BBO syllabus
COMPETITIONS
We offer students the opportunity to learn solo, duos for competitions. Troupe group for competitions is by audition only, which is held at the beginning of the year.
